Women In Football Uganda

WIFU is a Christian female lead non profit organization CBO situated in Kauga Mukono. WIFU was put in place to break the bias and barriers to girls participation in football. In Uganda, various stakeholders have given equal opportunities to girls and boys to play football,however, parents and guardians do not invest enough in girls football. This is why there are lesser girls in football activities than boys. WIFU programs are intended to draw more girls to the sport but also provide whole life mentorship programs. Our vision is "Every Girls having an opportunity to play football in a safe environment". We intend to achieve this through: -Providing free training sessions for girls with free jerseys and boots. -Sensitization programs to break stereotypes -Wholelife and discipleship programs to develop a whole player -Organize exclusively girls tournaments We have a three year strategy to reach 5000 girls. We will share the different projects soon.

Women Relief Aid

Women Relief Aid (WRA) is fully registered women-led NGO, non-profit, non-political and non-religious founded to provide supports to vulnerable women/girls and children suffering in South Sudan with registration No. 4076. The organization aims to response to immediate needs, promote and protect women/girls and children rights. The Organisation was established by dedicated group of young girls to address outstanding challenges facing young women/girls and children due to prolonged and continue fighting coupled with current global crisis. The organization’s focus is not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. We operate in different states of South Sudan. WRA carry a range of interventions in the areas of women/girls and children rights, advocacy, girl child education, health & hygiene, WASH, women empowerment, emergency response & preparedness, governance, free legal aid, human rights, etc. The type of activities we undertake range from capacity building to service delivery, with focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. What characterizes WRA’s functioning are its efforts to (a) enlist involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass root level; and (b) mobilize women/girls for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society. WRA continued to develop linkages of partnerships, alliances, collaborations and memberships with national and international funding agencies as we enjoy a diverse portfolio.

TACCEI

It is estimated that up to 80 percent of Tanzania’s rural population relies on the use of natural resources to sustain a livelihood, which makes stewardship of these resources a fundamental priority for Tanzania’s continued stability and growth. Given the intrinsic link between the environment and sustainable development, conservation must maintain equilibrium between human and ecosystem needs. Recognizing that the drivers of poverty and biodiversity loss are linked, there is a need to improve environmental governance and management at a landscape scale, including building communities’ capacity to sustainably manage their natural resources. Our strategy involves developing and implementing key national environmental policies while supporting community-based conservation initiatives.

Action Oriented Youth of Liberia (AOYOL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded on July 12, 2017, by Ms. Wonsehlea Teah out of her passion for wanting to make a difference in Liberia. The vision began after a few years of volunteering with local and international charities and organizations in the United States that were youth development mission driven. Ms. Teah realized that she could do the same thing for the underserved youth population in her own country of Liberia. With Ms. Teah’s knowledge about the challenges the youth population was facing in Liberia after the civil war crisis and the Ebola epidemic. Both delipidating circumstances led to thousands of Liberians fleeing and leaving the youth without right resources and opportunities to achieve success. Ms. Teah decided to start a non-profit organization where the youth will be at the forefront and have powerful voices, knowledge and the right resources to inspire positive change in their communities. Action Oriented Youth of Liberia is committed to helping the underserved youth population to achieved success through our unique programs.

Clocktvet

ClockTvet is a youth-led foundation that advocates and trains young people especially females on Technical and Vocational Skills. Since the inception of ClockTvet Foundation in February 2018, we have successfully created awareness campaigns on the importance of skills education among the youths throughout The Gambia. This Foundation has created platforms that enable different institutions both Technical and Vocational schools in The Gambia to interact and shared skills and knowledge. ClockTvet Foundation has not only advocated for young people in the urban areas alone but has included young people in the rural areas as well. Therefore, through the Foundation, more young people become more aware and gain more knowledge and skills which is an achievement and most importantly, helps create self-independence for youths and more so for the female generation.

Act for Change

Act for Change (AfC) is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) initiated and sustained by young people of the now deprived community of James Town (a community which boosted of a rich historical, cultural and economical glory in the past). It was registered in November 2011 (Reg. No. G-39,032) by a group of creative and hardworking youth who think globally and act locally through the creative art of theatre, dance, music, poetry and the visual arts. AfC is an established non-profit organisation based in James Town. This organisation constituent of young volunteers who were trained as participants in Interactive Theatre by Theatre for a Change (TfaC) and subsequently became facilitators, monitoring officers and training officers with TfaC. Recognizing the rapid growth of TfaC throughout Ghana and the enormous responsibilities that came with it, the young volunteers came to a consensus with its parent organization (TfaC) and concluded on forming a community based organisation to address the attendant needs of the James Town community and its environs. It is in this vein and spirit that AfC came into being with such an autonomy to research on the socio-economic challenges in James Town and use the creative arts to not only raise awareness and create knowledge but also to create forum for public ventilation of opinions as well as facilitate the process of action for change in the individual, group and the community as a whole. Over the years, we have broaden up our scope of work and implemented life changing projects in the Eastern, Western, Central, Northern and the Greater Accra Region.

Arise Educational Foundation

Arise e.V. is a non-profit association that runs a school in Kokrobite, Ghana. It was founded by a German national. She came to Ghana to widen her horizon in order to be able to understand the world as a global and diverse place. She particularly chose the country Ghana, because she has always thought that West Africa is a very inspiring, strong and colourful part of the world. Annelie lived around Tuba and noticed that many children didn’t have the opportunity to go to school. Therefore, she decided to participate in a school building project in order to provide an opportunity for these kids. The school was founded in 2014 with 15 children in Tuba, under the name Arise Educational Foundation e.V. The numbers gradually grew to our current 74 students in 2023. These students initially weren’t enrolled in school, as their parents are unable to afford. In addition to the education, we as well provide our students with hot freshly cooked meals.
